A Wonderful Comment from A Past Heels and Hills Participant...

"I was thinking about when I ran the race in 2008, I was very pregnant (had Noah less than 2 weeks later) and if you see the finish line photo, you could really tell. Now, I have run through all my pregnancies and done races through them all, just a bit slower, but I always get remarks, questions and people being generally rude, they just don't understand that it is okay to run as long as you have been doing it and are healthy. Anyway, as big as I was, and how you couldn't help but notice me, this was the ONLY race that I have ever ran pregnant where I got tons of support instead of critism. Really, it was wonderful, many "you go girl", "you can do it" and "you are my hero" type comments. I love the women only (okay a few men invaded) concept and it was a wonderful last race before the baby. Thank you for doing something for us women, it is so nice to line up with a bunch a females, just chattering and having a good time. Awesome job!"
