Two of our fast Heels and Hills fans were in a pickle. Their strict training schedule wouldn’t allow them to really race, but they love Heels and Hills and wanted to participate in Sunday’s half marathon. Determined to be a part of Heels and Hills and Him they pitched the idea of being pace leaders because it would help keep them from racing too hard when they are supposed to be using this as a training run.
That’s the story of how Lucy Silvas (right) and Shaheen Sattar (left) became pace leaders for Sunday’s Heels and Hills and Him Half Marathon. Shaheen will pace anyone interested in finishing the race in 1:45, and Lucy will take 2:00. Look for them race day morning – they’ll be holding pace signs, and they are so excited that they are even talking about coordinating their race outfits!
